Herbicide Products for Various Types of Weeds

By Skip Richter, Host of GardenLine Radio on KTRH 740

  • Always read and follow the product label before using herbicides in lawns, gardens, and landscapes!

  • It is the applicator’s responsibility, by law, to read and follow all current label directions for the herbicide being used. The label always takes precedence over the recommendations found in this publication.

  • Effectiveness can vary due to weed species, timing, temperature, weed health/vigor, etc.

  • Adding a surfactant to the herbicide increases effectiveness, especially against weeds with glossy leaves

  • Using a weed wiper can be helpful when controlling weeds around desirable plants.*
